Sorek House is a tastefully built small homestay, located in 2.5Km from the Kalimpong city center. This family run homestay, at a tranquil hilltop locality, is blessed with the panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga range and green valley. Sorek House has two double bedrooms and an extra space to accommodate two more people. There are separate sitting and dining area. This well-lit building has mixed wooden flooring and furnishing and modern western washrooms. Pradhan family, the owner of Sorek House, is an excellent host. Home cooked Indian, Nepalese, Chinese and western foods are served hot. Kalimpong Around 70km from Darjeeling, Kalimpong is located on a ridge connecting the two hills, Deolo and Durpin, which overlook the Teesta river. The weather remains pleasant throughout the year owing to the low altitude. Buddhist monasteries, old churches, and temples coexist in a cheerful society. Kalimpong is known for its flower and orchid nurseries.

Bara Mangwa Far­mhouse is designed like a colonial-era British bungalow with sloping red roofs, scalloped shades built with wood and stone. It has three types of room. A woo­den, spiral staircase leads to the floor above, with a large octagonal ceiling, stripped wood and bamboo walls, well-crafted glass windows and a king-sized bed. Echey (Icche Gaon/ Icchey) is a small Himalayan village located 16 Km away from Kalimpong, at a height of 5,800 Ft. This small green village is blessed with the panoramic view of Kanchenjunga range and nearby moist vegetation. Khawas House is two-storied homestay run by a Khawas Family. The rooms are clean and airy with views of mountains. The attached toilets are western without geyser. The beds are comfortable but smaller than European standard. Furnishing is minimal. Delicious local food is available at the home kitchen, with limited variety. With all such limitation, the warmth of hospitality is unquestionable. Echey is in the other side another small green village named Sillery. There is a nice opportunity to have a 3hr hiking to reach Sillery on the other side and stay there in another nice homestay. En-route, you will cross the Ramitey from where the Tista bed is visible on a clear day. You may also turn back from there or Sillery on the same day.

The guest house provides simple and clean lodgings in serene surroundings with wholesome home cooked meals. The Orchid Retreat, Kalimpong offers lodgings in six cottages and a four roomed duplex building. These cottages are spread out in the garden and each cottage hosts two adults in double bed or twin bed format. Total accommodation available is for 20 adults in ten rooms on a twin sharing/double bed basis. Each room has an attached bathroom, shower with running hot and cold water and western style toilet facilities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable without being ostentatious.
