Balrampur House Nainital was the summer Palace of the Royal Family of Balrampur since the 1880’s. It was known as Ivy Park Palace till 1932 the old single story palace was demolished to recreate a modern structure by the famous European Architect, Monsieur Mortimere in the style of a French Chateaux.
Balrampur House, Nainital features tastefully appointed rooms, each with beautiful views of the sprawling garden. The Deluxe r0oms in the house were guest rooms during the Raj days in which private guests and relatives of the royal family housed.Some of the furniture used in these rooms are antiques. The Superior rooms are massive and were used as bedrooms and drawing rooms by the Maharaja & Maharani,which have now been converted into rooms for the guest with modern amenities. All the rooms have a fireplace.
The dining room at Balrampur House, Nainital serves Indian and continental cuisene. The gowns decorated as wall hangings are genuine Kashmiri Jamewars.
