Itinerary – 9 Nights 10 Days
Day 01 | Arrive at Bagdogra/NJP (or Hasimara) and transfer to Phuentsholing- | On way Amo Chhu Crocodile Breeding Centre, The Gate at the border, and The Kharbandi Gompa (Rinchending) monastery. Overnight at Phuentsholing. |
Day 02 | Phuentsholing to Thimphu /180KM/🕓7H | After immigration process, proceed towards Thimphu. On the way we enjoy the amazing landscape that Bhutan has to offer. Overnight in Thimphu. |
Day 03 | Thimphu Sightseeing | In the morning, visit Memorial Chorten (built-in memory of the third King of Bhutan who reigned from 1952-1972), Thangthong Dewachen Nunnery, Motithang Takin Preserve, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Choki Traditional Art School, National Folk Heritage Museum, the majestic Tashichho Dzong and The Jungshi Paper Factory. Overnight in Thimphu. |
Day 04 | Thimphu to Punakha /76KM/🕓2H | After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,100m), where on a clear day we get spectacular views of the Himalayas. On way, visit Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to the Divine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley. After reaching Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong which was built between 1637-1638 and is the second oldest and the second largest dzong in Bhutan. Overnight in Punakha. |
Day 05 | Punakha to Paro /130KM/🕓5H | After breakfast, drive to Paro via Dochu La pass. There, we visit the: Druk Wangyal Lhakhang Monastery, National Museum Of Bhutan, Kyichu Lhakhang Jowo Temple, Drakhapo Monastery, Paro Dzong monastery and fortress. Overnight stay at Paro. |
Day 06 | Paro to Taktsang and back | After early breakfast start your journey for Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang Palphug Monastery. Come back and get back to hotel. Overnight at Paro |
Day 07 | Paro to Chele la Pass and back | After breakfast visit Chele la Pass. Optional extension to Haa. Overnight stay at Paro. |
Day 08 | Goodbye Bhutan | Early morning start from Paro and go ahead to Jaldapara. Overnight stay at Jaldapara or Hasimara. |
Day 09 | Tour ends | After breakfast, check-out to go ahead towards Bagdogra/NJP. |
