Located 20 km from Malbazar and 3 Km before Gorubathan Bazar, on Malbazar – Lava Road, Fagu is one of the oldest tea gardens of Darjeeling. This small tea garden, located in Gorubathan block of Kalimpong sub-division is bordered by Chel river in the west, and by Mission Hill Tea Estate in the east. The garden ends in Ahaley Busty in the north and Bhuttabari forest area in the south.
The colonial era bungalow, built more than a century ago, inside the picturesque tea garden of Lower Fagu, was renamed as “The Reserve Fagu” and refurbished many times to remain all its glory. The bungalow has three luxurious rooms with large baths. A common place connects the rooms and a separate dining area for meals. Tasty local variants of food are served. They also serve tea from their own plantation. Second flash Fagu Tea is extremely recommended.
