Paren, located near the Indo-Bhutan border, is a small picturesque village inside the Paren forest range, an extension of Neora Valley National Park. It is beside the Jaldhaka River on the route of Jhalong – Bindu.
Covered in Temperate evergreen forests, Paren is a paradise for bird-watchers. More than 23 species of Himalayan birds are spotted at Paren. Nearby Jhalong, Gairibas, Hydel project at Bindu and Dalgaon are common tourist attraction.
Khambuhang Resort is located at Todey-Paren Road. This family run basic rest house is covered in greenery and peaceful surrounding. There are two double-bed rooms and two four-bed rooms in the compound. Rooms are clean and furnished with attached western washroom. The in-house kitchen offers tasty but limited choice food.
