Paren, a tiny hamlet on a hilltop at the edge of Neora Valley National Park, located at 48 km from New Mall Junction and almost 100 km from NJP. The road to Paren passes through the dense forest regions of Chapramari Sanctuary through the Jhallong and Bindu encompassing the rambling Jaldhaka River. This small green picturesque village resides just beside the Indo-Bhutan border marked by the gorgeous yet scary Jaldhaka River.
This upper Jaldhaka Bed has all the three most renowned bio-diversities of India – (1) the pristine heritage forests of India- Neora Valley National Park, (2) the old tea gardens of Kumai – producing a unique flavour of Darjeeling Tea, and (3) the precious Cinchona plantation at Rongo, Dalgaon and Gairibas.
The resort Paren Nature Holiday Camp has 4 triple bed cottages surrounded by orange trees, open gardens, and lawns. The cottages have attached western baths with hot water arrangements. All cottages have own balconies. Foods are served at a separate dining hall.
