Itinerary – 7 Days
Day 1 — Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati, a very hectic city, just ignore everything of it and transfer to Shillong. Relax for a few hours, call a cab and go the market area. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 2 — Shillong and around
After breakfast move out for Shillong sightseeing including Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, Wards Lake. In the evening take a walk in the quasi-lit alleys of Shillong. We highly recommend a visit to Cafe Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 3 — Another day at Shillong
After breakfast keep a day for visiting the sacred forest of Mawphlang or the Don Bosco Museum in Shillong. If you are interested in the anthropology of North-East India, you will almost take the entire day to cover up this place. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 4 — Mawlynnong
After breakfast, start your trip to Mawlynnong. On the way visit the Riwai village and enjoy one of the oldest living root bridge there. Reach Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia and a UNESCO world Heritage Site. Interact with the Khasi people. Stay at village homestays.
Day 5 — Cherrapunjee
After breakfast transfer to Cherrapunjee. On the way visit the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known Mawsmai. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
Day 6 — Another day at Cherrapunjee
Explore the double-decker living route bridge in the morning. There are small hiking trails around Cherrapunji, you can explore those or just relax. Tomorrow you’ll not be here. The last night at Sohra. Ok, it’s the real name of Charrapunjee.
Day 7 — Back to Guwahati
After breakfast start your journey towards Guwahati to catch your flight or train. It’s over.

Accommodation cost for a couple will be around 17,500 or USD 375 for 5 Nights.
